Khapsey Charm
Khapsey Charm
Omnipresent in a bowl at every Tibetan home – one just doesn’t miss out on these staples on Losar, the Tibetan New Year. In the days leading up to Losar, family members and loved ones come together to make batches of khapsey – the staple Tibetan cookies. The dough is rolled out, cut to form a myriad of shapes and sizes, and then deep-fried, giving a golden brown tone.
Mapcha and Yakpo Collective have come together and created khapseys you can keep forever.
Our handcrafted pieces are 18k gold plated over brass
and gold jewellery tends to lose a bit of colour over time and might tarnish when not taken care of. An extra layer of coating protects them from the same but special care is required for your delicate pieces to keep them beautiful for years to come.
To preserve the radiance of your jewellery –
– Avoid exposure to any kind of moisture
– Between wearings, store in a pouch or in the box provided separate from other jewellery
– Be gentle if cleaning is required. Do not rub
